Carousel is a group which has been set up for women who have moved into the area. The group is the idea of friends, who all met when they first moved into Wharfedale.

From their experiences they felt that there was a need for an organisation that could act as a starting point to help people settle into the area.

"We know what it is like to make a fresh start. It is much easier to do something with some-one who is in the same position as you, for example start at a new club or join an exercise class."

Relocating to a new area can bring new opportunities, but it can also be a very daunting time.

Carousel acts as a meeting point for women who have moved into the area, to support each other, share information and experiences and establish new ftiends and contacts.

There is a voluntary annual contribution of £5 if you wish to join Carousel after attending your first meeting.  This contribution entitles you to a monthly newsletter and priority bookings on events and trips that are organised, as well as supporting the running costs of the group.
